The Mostaganem coastline is characterized by a semi-arid bioclimatic stage with a relatively undulating terrain with poor sandy soils favoring the proliferation of psammophilous species such as Retama monosperma (L.) Boiss. To the detriment of a biodiversity subject to degradation accentuated by the combined effects of climatic conditions and anthropogenic action. Through a monograph of R. monosperma (L.) Boiss. And a climatic, edaphic and floristic survey of the study area, a characterization of the species was carried out on several stations along a "beach-plateau" transect in order to study from observations and measurements its Development and its ability to colonize. It emerges that the species is proliferating with various floristic processions on all the exposures and substrates, mainly with a sandy tendency, thanks to its structure well adapted to local conditions and to a persistent seed stock dispersed by endozoochory (ornithochorie and mammaliochorie). Despite its many interests that require its valorisation in a context of sustainable development, its proliferation risks threatening local biodiversity and public health.en_US
