Dermatological diseases and cosmetic demands by the population are frequent, the use of phytotherapy to remedy these conditions is also frequent in the world, our study aims to generally identify the medicinal plants used in the treatment of different skin diseases and 1st and 2nd degree burns. The burn causes destruction of the skin covering, causing a local and general inflammatory response. The burned body surface, the depth, the age, the history, the mechanism as well as the associated lesions are the essential factors to assess the initial burned prognosis. In recent times, traditional medicine and pharmacognosy occupy an important place in the different world societies; people treat themselves much more with herbal products than synthetic drugs. Aloe Vera is a medicinal plant native to South and East Africa, used since ancient times in remote regions of the world to treat various diseases including dermatological. When applied to the skin, the gel is healing, hydrating and antipruritic. Orally, it is antiinflammatory, anti-infectious, antiallergic, anti-diabetic and even antiviral and anti-cancer. Our study shows that this plant is used in Algeria to fight very effectively against dermal irritations, it is extremely generative and protective of the skin, many parapharmaceutical products based on Aloe Vera gel are prescribed by dermatologists.en_US
