Étude de La rémanence d’un savon additionné à l’huile essentielle de citron (Citrus limon).

Abstract

This thesis has aimed to test in vivo efficacy and persistence of a soap added to the essential oil of lemon (Citrus limon), at the hand disinfection. No such study has been carried out before. Several bacteriological samples were taken on the hands of three operators before and after washing with soap obtained at different times. After incubation, the colonies were counted. The results were satisfactory since the bacterial reduction rate was 80.47%; 2 hours after the disinfection. This work showed that the obtained soap appears to have an excellent remanence and hand skin seems to be protected from bacterial recontamination. The results open up many prospects for studies that could be conducted to compare the efficacy and persistence of the resulting soap with other soaps, which can serve as witnesses.
