dc.description.abstractThis study presents a descriptive and analytical ethnobotanical approach, in the region of Oran and which aims at phyto-therapeutic analysis (herbalism, use and traditional therapy). The information was collected through a questionnaire conducted with herbalists, users of the local population and traditional therapists. The survey involved 30 herbalists, 80% of whom were men versus 20% women, elderly 20 to 80 years old and with a high average literacy rate (43.33%) In the light of the results on the practice of phytotherapy, 70% of the population have recourse to traditional medicine against 30% to modern medicine. 75% of women practice traditional medicine against 25% of men, with an illiteracy rate high 40% This study allowed us to list 44 plants with therapeutic virtues, belonging to 19 the most represented botanical families are those of the lamiaceae the Apiaceae, and the Asteraceae. It appears that people know about herbal remedies, their benefits and uses to treat Covid-19en_US
