Study of the prevalence of lameness and their impact on reproduction parameters in dairy cows. Lameness, 3rd disease in dairy cattle breeding, costs and economic losses (treatment, production, reproduction), additional work, impairment of well-being. It is usually caused by problems that occur in the hooves. They can be categorized as infectious or non-infectious conditions. In extreme cases, the cow may die of malnutrition or must be culled. The present study carried out on the cattle case of dairy cow, is carried out in order to study the levels of the prevalence of lameness as well as their impacts on the parameters of reproduction, allowed us to establish a very important increase in prevalence lameness in recent years, however a very high variability between farms, ranging from no lame cow to 70% lame animals. An annual incidence that varies from 7% to 69%. Thus, Lameness also reduces reproductive performance, both impacting reproduction and fertilization success, the time required to conceive is lengthened, and breeding success is affected.en_US
