Modélisation statistique de la pêcherie de Mostaganem et des flux de nutriments (N, P, Si) de l’Oued Chéliff pour la mise en oeuvre d'une gestion Ecosystémique de la Côte Ouest Algérienne (Mostaganem).

Abstract

Our study is based on physicochemical, hydrobiologic and fisheries datas, for a comparative analysis to large scales over two years period (2009 and 2010), in order to characterize the complex ecosystems where Oued Cheliff estuary discharge its nutrients (N, P, Si) and pollutants coming from the urban, agricultural and industrial environments. Our survey revealed the presence of nitrogenized, phosphorated and sulphur substances and an important concentration of suspended matter at the Cheliff River. The biodiversity of the phytoplankton organisms was discussed and compared between the two medium “Cheliff River and the Bay of Mostaganem” and the state of the abundance of the fishing resources of the Mostaganem fisheries were analyzed and discussed by quantifying fish production in relation to the availability of nutrients (which form the basis of the food web) and the phytoplankton autotrophic organisms while taking in account on the presence or of the absence of connectivity “between the Cheliff River and the Bay of Mostaganem”. The physicochemical, hydrobiological and fishing data’s were analyzed using multivaried statistics using the statistical software "R". Our results and the obtained model highlighted important space contrasts between the three sectors of the Mostaganem area [the western sector (W), the Central sector (C) and the Eastern sector (E)]. The survey reveals an overexploitation of the marine benthic species and generally, a domination of small pelagic captures.
