Résumé:
In this study, we tried to answer some questions about the relationship between food consumption and the state of health of patients in two cases ; pre and postoperative. For this, we carried out a survey of 35 patients operated in the general surgery department at CHE-Guevara hospital in Mostaganem and Francis - Ahmed hospital in Oued Rhiou-Relizane. The purpose of this survey was to identify the diet of operated patients and to see if they are able to follow a diet. Our goal was also to make patients aware of the importance of specific recommended diets especially in postoperative cases as well as their eating habits.
The results of the inquiry have showen that the majority of patients presented a lack of consumption of some foods before and after the operation. Hospital patients did well on a gradual diet to maintain food consistency for the first four weeks. The gradual reintroduction of food plays a very important role in stabilizing the state of health, reducing pain and postoperative complications and ultimately healing faster.
