Résumé:
The Iraq war involved coercive negotiations as well as, both a new and ancient definition of the use of force, since Operation Desert Storm the fight to liberate Kuwait had been real. The occupation process of Iraq or the punitive invasion began in 1990 with a core concept for the invasion of Iraq, in terms of preserving interests, stabilizing its partners, and governing the region. The conflict is examined with respect to US goals in the area. This research paper examines the true objectives of the 2003 war on Iraq. And again, the situation in Iraq is still a topic for debate as the war was controversial. This study focuses on one research issue that was chosen, which is; what was the real reason behind the war? The results of this study indicate that since the war lacks a clear moral foundation, it remains suspicious to solve the problem issue in Iraq as a legitimate policy instrument. Although war came under Republicans rules and the foreign policy, as this study demonstrates, the consequences to that war are quite serious. The use of force and coercive diplomacy would have eventually leaded to tremendous instability in the region, with disastrous consequences not just for Iraq but also for the entire region.
