This study aims to d determine the insecticidal activity of the methanoic extract and the essential oil against the insect of stored foodstuffs Sitophilus oryzae. Where a mortality rate of more than 50% was recorded for two weeks, while the HE showed good activity insecticide on the insect pest. Pest control in agriculture is usually achieved by the application of synthetic insecticide has resulted in
environmental pollution, adverse effects on human health .Essential oils ( HE ) extracted from plants are considered as alternatives to synthetic pesticides |
