Résumé:
The coronavirus epidemic began in December 2019 and Algeria has not been spared, the Covid-19 has gone beyond the threat stage to become a sad reality on the continent.
Studies have not stopped trying and researching and researchers have stepped up their efforts to determine risk factors for Covid-19 such as age, sex and obesity, in addition to studying the correlation between ABO blood groups and this infection.
This work consists of a field survey in two hospitals in Mostaganem, in particular, Che-guevara hospital and Hamado Hocine hospital in Sidi Ali. The objective of our work was to determine the impact of the risk factors that promote the development of Covid-19 in the wilaya of Mostaganem.
In addition, we wanted to verify the hypothesis put forward by the researchers regarding the effect of certain blood groups (ABO, Rhesus) on the development and severity of Covid-19.
All the results obtained show that the evolution of Covid-19 disease varies considerably from one individual group to another.
Indeed, the risk factors already established by the WHO (age, obesity, diabetes, CVD) largely influence SARS-Cov-2 infection. Moreover, we did not find a direct correlation between blood groups ABO and Covid-19.
