Résumé:
The study focused on the antimicrobial effect of the hydroethanolic extract of laurus nobilis L harvested in the region of Tizi Ouzou exactly in Tizi Ghennif on two references pathogenics germs "E. coli (ATCC 25922), P. aeruginosa (ATCC 27853)” responsible for food poisoning.
The measurements and the controls carried out in triple tests concerned: the growth test, diffusion test on agar, the method for determining the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the method for determining the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC).
The pure extract of laurel showed a strong inhibitory power of bactericidal type on the growth of the germs studied were obtained 40% in E. coli and 20% in P. aeruginosa
Compared to the broad-spectrum gentamicin antibiotic (largest zone of inhibition) but for the plant extract recorded interesting inhibition rates.
