The Importance of Pronunciation in English Language Learning

Abstract

The current study investigates the importance of pronunciation in English language learning at Abdelhamid Ibn Badis University of Mostaganem. Since the time devoted to phonetics is not enough at the level of first year which in turn led to lack of practice of pronunciation an urgent need to conduct this research to show the importance of pronunciation in adequately learning the English language. In light of this problem, the research’s aim is to highlight the crucial role of pronunciation in improving learners’ English language and in the development of English speaking skills.
