Résumé:
The purpose of this paper is to reduce student participation in class; it examines the difficulties that prevent English as a second language learners from participating in the course. Therefore, it introduces some techniques and strategies to improve and promote student participation and develop their abilities and skills. This is an attempt to explore problems that prevent students from participating, such as lack of vocabulary, poor grammar, shyness, anxiety, etc. We chose to work on the third LMD students and the teachers of the two speaking modules (oral and written) in Mostaganem, in the English department.
