Résumé:
Helix aspersa Müller is a widely spread and well-known snail, not only for its ecological and agricultural impact but also for the valuable applications of its mucus in cosmetics and medicine. The aim of this work is to develop an anti-inflammatory cream based on Helix aspersa Muller mucus. We began by collecting the mucus of Helix aspersa Muller, then the natural cream was formulated by adding an excipient. Next, the physical and chemical properties of the cream were determined. This characterization was based on three criteria: a pH test, a skin tolerance test on a rabbit, and a sterility test. The results obtained indicate that the formulated ointment possesses good physico-chemical properties. The skin tolerance test conducted on rabbits showed no signs of allergy or irritation, demonstrating a 100% tolerance.
