Résumé:
A phénotypical characterization of a local goat was conducted in the region of Ghardaïa. The objective of this study was to characterize morphologically the goat population in the region, in order to have better understanding of goat genetic resources which remains little studied until now, the body measurements were performed in the region., 12 quantitative variable.
qualitative, the collected data were subjected to analysis of variance and a discriminant factor analysis. Our results showed that the length of the head (LH), and the height at the back, were the most discriminant variables for axis 1, the length of the ears (LE) and hips to the length of the second axis, and in males the length of the head (LH), and thurl width (TW)for the first function and chest circumference (CC) and the height at sacrum (HS) for the second function,
