Abstract:
Our work has been carried out at the level of the internal medicine department of the
university hospital CHU of Oran to evaluate the risk of diabetic patients to develop
Alzheimer's disease, out of a total of 49 cases of diabetes men present 46.93% Of patients
while 53.06% were women, 8% of patients had type 1 diabetes (insulin-dependent diabetes),
however, 92% had type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes), and 37.20 % Of patients
were overweight, according to the results obtained and the questionnaire score, it was noted
that patients with a risk of developing Alzheimer's disease are predominantly women, and that
the distribution of diabetics according to their risk of Developing Alzheimer's disease versus
type of diabetes shows that 94.11% of patients who are at risk are type 2 diabetics.
