Abstract
mg/g. Le processus est spontané et endothermique.

Abstract
This study aims at the valorization of plant waste through its conversion into activated carbon for the
removal of Azorubine dye by adsorption in aqueous solution. The work includes the preparation of
the material, its characterization (iodine number, methylene blue index, and pHPCZ), as well as the
investigation of adsorption parameters such as dose, pH, and temperature. Adsorption kinetics and
isotherms were also modeled.
The results show that the optimal conditions are an adsorbent dose of 1 g/L, pH = 4, and an equilibrium
time of 90 minutes. The adsorption process follows the pseudo-second-order kinetic model (R2 =
0.9997) and the Langmuir isotherm model (R2 = 0.99), with a maximum adsorption capacity of qmax =
144.9 mg/g. The process is spontaneous and endothermic.
