Abstract

The characteristics of sea water are the majority of contaminants, especially metals, are associated with sediment when acting as a secondary source. Analyses of physicochemical parameters and to determine what level of contamination of sediment and that of sea water, but give little information on its "biological quality". The presentation of this study is divided into chapters, the first covers the different types of marine pollution and their effect on the aquatic ecosystem pelagic and benthic, then we have the second chapter is devoted to a review of the literature on the elements pollutants, recalling their great physical and chemical characteristics, and the factors that regulate their bioavailability in the marine environment, especially the sediment. The third chapter is a presentation of the site "the Salamander Creek" and the chosen is made for the ecological and economic importance of the façade of the latter, in particular the damage caused by human activity (pollution ). The next chapter this list has only practiced for respectful methods for measurements of several parameters that require precision equipment such as molecular absorption spectrophotometry, and atomic absorption spectrophotometer flame. The last chapter is the result given to master up the cause of all damage and defects of each of the concentrations of contaminants deferens what it is in sea water or sediment treated during the study period.
