| dc.description.abstract | The present study is carried out in the Si Mourad farm of the Mostaganem wilaya (Sidi Ali) in order to characterize on the phenotypic level. The quantitative morphological parameters carried out on 18 heads of adult sheep of the race Ouled Djellal. This study showed significant values for the quantitative characteristics in the individuals of both sexes of the sample studied, the characteristics were more correlated with respect to sacrum height, tail length, total body length, and The length of the trunk. The large variability noted for certain traits, live weight, total body length, and breast circumference in the individuals studied in comparison with that of the breed standard indicates great potential for breeding by selection. | en_US |
