Abstract

Banks have a major role in achieving economic development, as they are considered a place to preserve funds and a source for granting loans to customers. But it is always exposed to many banking risks, the most important of which is the problem of bank default, which is one of the biggest risks facing banks. This study aims to know the problem of bank default and the methods of dealing with it. Accordingly, through this study, we have identified the most important causes and various stages of bank default and its effects, one of the most important causes of loan defaults. On this basis, the Local Development Bank of the state of Mostaganem was chosen as a case study in order to know the most important methods
