Étude de l’effet « in vitro » et « in vivo » de l’huile essentielle de Salvia officinalis sur le puceron noir de la fève Aphis fabae

Abstract

In the search for alternatives to chemical control, based on the use of natural plant-based products "bio insecticidal" to fight against the black bean aphid. This study aims to test the bio-insecticidal and repellent effect of the essential oil of Salvia officinalis vis-à-vis adults of the black aphid Aphis fabae bean. To meet this objective, an extraction of the essential oil by steaming of the leaves of the sage was performed. In order to evaluate its toxicity on black bean aphids two test were carried out. In parallel a test on the repulsive capacity of the oil was conducted. The results obtained show the insecticidal effect of the essential oil of sage on adults of the black bean aphid with a maximum of mortality recorded from the 5th day for the test "in vitro" and the 6th day for the test " in vivo "with respective LD 50 of 1.27 and 2.76. The essential oil of the leaves of sage has also demonstrated a repulsive ability of 60%.
