Abstract

Summury The present study seeks to examin the effectivness of swimming and hydrotherapy in alleviating lower back pain among women.the vertebral cilumn represents the primary structural support of the human body, weight and facilitating daily movement, which makes it particularly vulnerable to injuries and chronic pain disorders. Lower back oain is considered one of the most prevalent health problems effecting quality of life and daily functioning, especially among women due to aging and various physical and psychosocial pressures. The study is grounded in the assumption that the aquatic environment provides a unique therapeutic setting due to the buoyancy property of water, which reduces mechanical stress on the joints and vertebrae.in addition ,water resistance contributes to strengthening the imposing excessive strain or pain.consequently, aquatic therapy may positively influence both the physical and psychological well being of patients. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the experimental descriptive approach swimming training program or lower back pain.the study sample consisted of eight female patients who participated in the program at the Olympic semi swimming pool ‘’sidi said’’in mascra during the period extending from January 2026 to February 2026. The research methodology relied on two medical assessment tests,a series of structured training sessions ,and a satisfaction questionnaiare designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the program.furthermore, the validity and reliability of the applied tests,as well as the evaluation toolsand training program, were verified and approved by specialized medical professionals. Based on the findings obtained ,the study concluded that swimming and aquatic excercises constitute a safe and effective therapeutic method for reducing lower back pain among women.the results demonstrated improvements in spinal flexibility, muscular stremgth ,and pain reduction, thereby emphasizing the significance of hydrotherapy as an effective therapeutic and rehabilitative approach in the management of the lower back pain.
