Abstract

The financial markets have become prominent in the contemporary world economy through their support to economic growth, and this is what has been discussed in this study, which is proved by the problems raised about the obstacles of stock markets and ways to activate them. The theoretical aspect shows that there is a strong correlation between the extent of the financial market’s development and the level of economic development. The Algerian financial market or the Algerian stock exchange was also characterized by a narrow and generally inefficient modernization, which had a negative impact on the overall economic situation since it had not achieved its intended objective or to support the national economy
